Country Dancing
Young dancers have swapped the studio for the idyllic 185 million year-old Jurassic Coast to perform in nature.
The contemporary dance troupe, aged nine to 18, do energetic routines on the picturesque West Dorset clifftops.
Their latest session, a dress rehearsal for a show titled Dancing with Darkness, was in the shadow of 14th century St Catherine's Chapel in Abbotsbury, overlooking Chesil Beach.
Choreographer Nikki Northover began running outdoor sessions when her studio in Symondsbury closed due to covid.
She held her first socially distanced class in a large garden then ventured further afield to local beauty spots.
Nikki, who runs Bridport Youth Dance, said: "The change of direction we took was a creative response to our closure due to the pandemic.
"As we emerged we stepped out into the spectacular natural landscape on our doorstep and had classes with live music outdoors.
"The children just love to dance, whether it is in a studio or outside, but I think their generation has a real connection with nature."
