Every schoolboys dream come true...
A special edition Superman comic that was commissioned for £10,000 by a father for his son's birthday has emerged for sale.
'The Island Bradman' is a cartoon featuring the famous superhero alongside 13-year-old comic fan Daniel Bradman and his family and friends.
The story follows the young teenager, his best friend Andrew, parents and Superman as they are captured by aliens and transported to a different world.
The comic book was commissioned in 1988 by Daniel's father, Godfrey Bradman, a billionaire property developer from London, as a special birthday surprise.
It cost him a staggering 10,000 pounds and was a special gift to his son at the Jewish ceremony.
Around 200 copies of the cartoon were made and were handed out to friends and family, including a former employee of the Bradman's who has kept it in mint condition.
The comic is expected to fetch £2,000 when it goes under the hammer at Catherine Southon Auctioneers and Valuers, near Croydon in Surrey.
