Chili paper.

Green-fingered British boffins have launched an ingenious Christmas wrapping paper laced with vegetable seeds that can be planted after use rather than thrown away and only costs £5.

They have packed each sheet of Eden's Paper full of onion, broccoli, chilli, tomato and carrot seeds in a bid to reduce the amount of wrapping paper thrown away.

Once eager recipients have torn open their presents they can then plant the discarded wrapping paper in the ground where it decomposes and releases the seeds.

With a little bit of care and attention the seeds then grow into vegetable plants.
