The demand for sustainable wooden surfboards is on the rise - great news for carpenter James Otter who spends up to 80 hours on one of his beautiful handcrafted boards.

James' company Otter Surfboards is the leading maker of wooden surfboards in the UK, if not Europe.

He sources all his wood directly from woodlands in the south west and customers can even spend five days in his Cornish workshop learning how to make their own board.
