A stunning 500-year-old house that was home to legendary drummer Charlie Watts at the height of The Rolling Stones' fame has gone on the market for £1 million.
Rocker Watts bought the historic Grade II-listed pad in the mid sixties on the back of the Stones' meteoric rise to world wide super stardom.
Still in his 20s, Watts snapped up the four-bedroom Old Brewery House in Lewes, West Sussex, and lived there until 1968 when he sold it to eminent economist Sir Richard Jolly and his late wife Alison, an expert animal scientist.
Sir Richard, now 83, has decided to downsize and has put the Old Brewery House up for sale for £995,000 with Strutt and Parker estate agents.
