Fourth generation farmer James Pullen examines his crop of potatoes at Perrins Hill Farm in Somerset yesterday (Fri).
Harvest is now well underway on the farm and he expects to his 250 acres of potato fields to yield some 4500 tons of product.
Once harvested the potatoes are brought back to the farm buildings where they are checked, graded and packed into wooden cases each holding just over one ton of spuds.
They will then be stored over winter before making the journey to supermarket shelves in April.
