Yours for £3million - Idyllic Lakeland estate...without a roof.

A spectacular estate with a house overlooking a private lake is up for sale for £3million, but the buyer will have to finish building their home before they can move in.

The would-be grand house on the Lilymere estate in Killington, Cumbria, is currently only half built - it has roof beams but no roof, most of its external walls but no windows or doors and none of the internal work has been completed.

Previous owners, who bought the estate in 2011, got planning permission to knock down the previous property and build a much bigger 15,000sq ft mansion.

But they failed to complete the extensive rebuild and the estate was repossessed.
