A haunting photograph depicting a Rolls Royce co-founder moments before plummeting to his death has emerged for auction.<br />

The previously unseen snapshot, captioned "Rolls plane 1910 fatal flight" is understood to show Charles Rolls' final few seconds before his plane snapped in two resulting in an 80ft fall to his demise.<br />

The 32-year-old Brit was piloting a Wright Flyer aircraft as part of the Bournemouth Air Races when the large crowd watched from below as the tail of the plane broke off during a sharp manoeuvre.
