Artist Anthony Garratt is giving a whole new meaning to landscape painting - his incredible pieces aren't just of the landscape, they're in it too.
The 35-year-old painter from Bristol has created four canvasses on the island of Anglesey as part of a new outdoor art installation and the paintings will remain in the exact spot they were painted until October.
Mr Garratt spent several days on each of the giant 8ft-wide scenes, which are exposed to the elements and can be enjoyed by walkers as well as art fans.
The landscapes had to be created on marine board - a thick marine plywood treated with sealant and epoxy, like a boat - rather than normal canvas, coated with five layers of varnish afterwards and mounted on bespoke steel frames to ensure they survive any harsh outdoor conditions.
