The White Helmets - dubbed 'the Red Arrows on wheels' - have thrilled crowds with their brilliant daredevil displays since 1927 but have now revved their engines for the last time. <br />

The army has axed the display team because they are out of date. Cost-cutting is also believed to be behind the move.
