Original artwork from acclaimed children's book illustrator Barbara Firth has emerged for sale for £12,000.<br />

The sale, featuring almost 200 lots, is being held by Ewbank's Auctions, of Woking, Surrey.<br />
<br />
It features her drawings for Sarah Hayes' The Grumpalump (1991) and the Great Escapes series.<br />
<br />
Animals she brought to life included Jack the Dog, Tumult the Rabbit, Romeo and Juliet The Lovebirds and Little Bear.<br />
<br />
Many of the drawings are annotated with studio instructions and none have been signed.
