A historic country house and farm owned by the family of Romantic poet Percy Bysshe Shelley for more than 200 years is up for sale for £3.695m.
Champions Farm is a pretty Grade II listed country house in Thakeham, West Sussex, and is being sold with 60 acres of land.
The house dates back to the late 13th century and was owned by the Shelley family from the 16th to the 19th century.
Owner Edward Shelley was hanged in 1588 for sheltering a Catholic priest, when practicing the religion was banned under Elizabeth I.
