A historic country house and farm owned by the family of Romantic poet Percy Bysshe Shelley for more than 200 years is up for sale for £3.695m.<br />

Champions Farm is a pretty Grade II listed country house in Thakeham, West Sussex, and is being sold with 60 acres of land.<br />
<br />
The house dates back to the late 13th century and was owned by the Shelley family from the 16th to the 19th century. <br />
<br />
Owner Edward Shelley was hanged in 1588 for sheltering a Catholic priest, when practicing the religion was banned under Elizabeth I.
