Britain's oldest person Lilian Priest is celebrating her 112th birthday.

The supercentenarian was presented with a birthday cake by staff who sang happy birthday at her care home in Swanage, Dorset.

Despite the lockdown restrictions, Lilian's daughter Wendy was able to briefly visit, but sadly no other family could attend.

The great grandmother of four, who was born on November 7, 1908, has lived through and is old enough to remember both World Wars.

Her longevity has been put down to her active childhood in Monmouthshire, South Wales, where she profited from the 'fresh mountain air'.
