A country home that has a grand 80ft tall Victorian tower has gone on the market for £1.6m.

Bishops Tower is named after its impressive Italianate six-storey stone tower which has stunning far-reaching views across the surrounding rolling countryside.

It is said to have been built for Bishop Copleston, Bishop of Llandaff and Dean of St Paul's Cathedral, in 1843 to enable him to see his diocese across the Bristol Channel.
