A savvy landowner who installed solar panels on his sprawling Tudor manor has 'saved it' from being shut down by rising energy bills.<br />

Athelhampton House near Puddletown, Dorset, had been guzzling fossil fuels until renowned economist Giles Keating took ownership in 2019.<br />
<br />
He made the decision to remove the oil burners, gas ovens and boilers and replace them with renewable energy sources to try to become carbon neutral.
