An exquisite collection of intricate treasures from Renaissance Europe have gone on display at Horace Walpole's gothic home.<br />

The items on display, which are hundreds of years old, celebrate the aristocratic habit of collecting valuable objects to create Cabinets of Curiosities.<br />

They include elaborate valuables made from coconuts and rock crystal <br />
<br />
The exhibition is being held at Strawberry Hill House, a Gothic Revival villa in Twickenham, London, rebuilt by writer Walpole from 1749.
