Here is the News at Thrift..

A BBC news presenter has won plaudits after revealing she wears charity shop clothes on air as it is more affordable and sustainable for the environment.

Anjana Gadgil spends as little as £6 on second hand designer outfits which she appears in on BBC South Today and the BBC News Channel.

She has taken the frugal route as she gets no 'wardrobe budget' from the BBC. And she said constantly buying brand new clothes from high street fashion outlets is so expensive, with no guarantee of quality.

Her colleagues and friends were stunned when she told them her on screen clothes are second hand as they could not tell the difference.

Ms Gadgil went on X, formerly Twitter, to share more details about her outfits ahead of a 'sustainability' show on BBC South Today.
