An Aston Martin car that belonged to David Brown, the man who turned the British marque into a global brand, has sold for £345,000.
The 1948 'DB1' model was the first to carry Brown's initials with the DB5 - made famous by James Bond in Goldfinger - coming in 1963.
Only 15 DB1s were produced, making it one of the most sought-after Astons ever to appear on the market.
