Whicker's real world...
The beloved island retreat of legendary globe-trotting journalist Alan Whicker has gone back on the market two years after his death - with £1 million knocked off the asking price.
The plush four-bedroom home on the Channel Island of Jersey was first put up for sale after he died in 2013 aged 91 for just under £5 million.
But despite being nestled in nine acres of secluded woodland and boasting an outdoor swimming pool with sweeping views towards France, the house failed to sell.
Whicker's longterm partner Valerie Kleeman, who lived at the property with him for more than 40 years, took it off the market but has now put it up for sale again for £3.95 million in the hope of enticing buyers.
