Never before seen photos of elite SAS soldiers during World War Two have been unearthed.

There are images of the elite commandos on manoeuvres in the desert and doing skiing training.

The album belonged to Lance Corporal Gerald Hutchinson (1922-1989), who served with 1st SAS Regiment in the Desert Campaign and Italy.

There is a photo of SAS legend Commanding Officer Paddy Mayne, who was controversially denied a Victoria Cross despite leading armoured Jeep squadrons through the German front lines, rescuing wounded men and taking out an enemy machine-gun position.
