A historic manor house that was home to Robert Downey Jr's Dr Dolittle is on the market for £5m.

The Grade I listed Cothay Manor near Wellington, Somerset, is not only steeped in history, but was also used as the set for the 2019 film Dolittle.

The impressive property dates back to 1480 and has been described as the finest example of a small medieval manor in England.

The manor is unusually well-conserved and has lots of fine late 15th and early 16th century features.

It has a stunning Great Hall, which has lots of original features including wingless angels carrying shields on the trusses, oak panelling that was added in the early 17th century and the faintly visible painting of the medieval house.
