Precious Metal - iconic DB5 that graced a Royal Mail stamp.

A classic Aston Martin DB5 that featured on a limited edition commemorative stamp has sold for £607,000.

The 1965 motor was hand-picked by the Royal Mail in 2013 to celebrate the best of the British car building industry.

The first class stamp inspired former Top Gear host Chris Evans to buy the car later that year and he kept it for around 12 months, before it passed into the hands of a private collector.
The James-Bond style GT car, which is in pristine condition, went under the hammer with Silverstone Auctions of Ashorne, Warwicks.
