This state-of-the-art gadget could be about to revolutionise the way you clean your clothes - because it promises to turn any sink into a mobile washing machine.

The nifty device is no bigger than a bar of soap but its makers claim it can wash your clothes as well as a machine would in just 30 minutes by zapping them with ultrasound technology.

The plastic, waterproof contraption is used by turning it on and dropping it in a sink full of water and dirty clothes, inventors claim - and because it is so small it can be carried around in a bag for use at home, hotels, or even at work.

And they say that unlike a washing machine which can damage clothes, the ultrasound leaves fabrics completely in tact so they can be washed over and over without deteriorating.
