The late Fred Casey was among the original dozen members of the 1st Special Air Service that was formed in North Africa to wreak havoc behind enemy lines.<br />

The commando's military possessions included a remarkable album containing previously unseen images of the founding members of the elite force.<br />
<br />
Legendary Captain David Stirling, who formed the 'Who Dares Wins' regiment, and hand-picked the men under his command, is pictured along with his controversial deputy Paddy Mayne , who took over the top secret regiment after Stirling's capture.<br />

The album sold at Bosley's Auctioneers of Marlow, Bucks, last week for over five times its pre-sale estimate..
