The 'time capsule' contents of an entire country home are being auctioned for an estimated £150,000 in an everything-must-go sale.<br />

The Prescott family, descendants of the poet Percy Shelley, bought Summerfield House in Exmouth, Devon over 120 years ago.<br />

Over the decades they filled it with antique furniture, paintings, objet d'art and carpets and, seemingly, never had a clear out.<br />

Its last owner died last year and there is nobody to pass the house or the £1.3m house on to.<br />

Auctioneer Richard Bromell was tasked with valuing over 400 items to sell.

The 'time capsule' contents of an entire country home are being auctioned for an estimated £150,000 in an everything-must-go sale.
