Tree felling whodunnit on millionaires row...

The hunt is on for a phantom feller who has attacked and killed three pine trees that blocked their view of Sandbanks.

The offender fatally poisoned two young Corsican pines with a weed killer and cut down a third with a handsaw under the cover of darkness.

The three specimens stood on an area of public land in front of a row of luxury homes that overlook Poole Harbour and the exclusive Sandbanks peninsula in Dorset.

The local authority has launched an investigation into the attacks which they believe to be the work of a local resident who wants to protect their vista.
