The speed limit on the main road in the most polluted village in England is to be permanently lowered to 30mph in a bid to improve air quality.
Last year a Friends of the Earth study found Chideock in Dorset had the country's worst nitrogen dioxide levels. (99.7ug/m3)
The A35 that runs through the middle of the idyllic village is a popular route to the west country for holidaymakers, with 20,000 vehicles a day using in the summer months.
