This gigantic green-leafed plant looks like something from the set of Jurassic Park.

Instead it can be found at a subtropical garden on Britain's Jurassic Coast where the recent mini-heatwave has helped it thrive.

The massive Gunnera Manicata plant has sprouted giant 8ft long leaves that are big enough for a whole family to shelter under.

The supersized specimen is native to Brazil but this one is flourishing at the Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens in Dorset.
