At first glance these look like ancient artefacts recovered from an Incan ruin, until you notice the unmistakable faces of Homer Simpson and Mickey Mouse.

Artist Nadin Ospina combines icons of the entertainment industry with the artistic traditions of ancient pre-Colombian art to create interesting and humorous art that pokes fun at the influence of America and Europe on his native country.
Through Nadin's work, Mickey Mouse becomes a Mesoamerican chacmool - a reclining figure with a bowl on its chest - or a warrior, and Homer Simpson takes on different chiefs of indigenous tribes.
