A beautifully converted windmill that has a string of famous former owners is on the market for £1.65m.
The Windmill was home to novelist Gilbert Cannan and Mary Ansell - JM Barrie's wife who left the Peter Pan author for Cannan - in the early 20th century and often hosted their intellectual friends including writer DH Lawrence.
After them it was rented by an American actress, used as an artist's studio and then owned by the director of BBC Radio who held many showbiz parties at the windmill.
The Grade II Listed property in Cholesbury, Bucks, was converted more than a century ago.
