A rare fungus that looks like an alien and smells like rotting flesh has emerged in time for Halloween.
Clathrus archeri, commonly known as Devil's fingers, is a foreign species that first appeared in the UK more than 70 years ago but sightings are few and far between.
It is a sought-after find among mycologists in Britain and a couple of recent sightings have sparked a lot of interest on social media.
Josh Phangurha took this picture of the unusual species in the New Forest, Hants, after hunting for an hour to find it.
