The Duchess of Cornwall has honoured a 'lost' Dunkirk hero who died while fighting alongside her father in the Second World War.
Camilla sent a heartfelt message that was read out at a redidication ceremony for Lieutenant Piers Edgcumbe whose grave was discovered over 80 years after his death.
Lt. Edgcumbe served in the same regiment as Major Bruce Shand in the war.
At Dunkirk, the two officers had highly-dangerous reconnaissance roles; making contact with the advancing enemy and reporting their position back to headquarters.
