The Duchess of Cornwall has honoured a 'lost' Dunkirk hero who died while fighting alongside her father in the Second World War.<br />

Camilla sent a heartfelt message that was read out at a redidication ceremony for Lieutenant Piers Edgcumbe whose grave was discovered over 80 years after his death.<br />
<br />
Lt. Edgcumbe served in the same regiment as Major Bruce Shand in the war. <br />
<br />
At Dunkirk, the two officers had highly-dangerous reconnaissance roles; making contact with the advancing enemy and reporting their position back to headquarters.
