A staple of the British kitchen is celebrating its anniversary this year as Colman's Mustard turns 200.
Archivist's research reveals the 200 year history of Colmans mustard.
Founded in Norwich in 1814 by Jeremiah Colman, the super hot condiment made from Norfolk mustard seeds soon become a family favourite at dinner tables throughout the Empire, with even Capt Scott taking a case on his ill fated Terra Nova expedition to the south pole.
So vital was the powdered sauce that it escaped wartime rationing to keep the home fires burning during the dark days of WW2.
Despite being founded a year before Napoleon met his Waterloo, the world famous brand still produces 3000 tons of the fiery favourite every year exporting to all parts of the globe.
