An angler was stunned when he caught a huge sea bass two miles up a river which experts claim could be a result of improving water conditions.

Terry Findlay, 62, was pike fishing along a stretch of the River Avon in Christchurch, Dorset, when he landed the whopping 14lb bass.
The catch was especially unusual as sea bass, as their name suggests, live in the sea and not in a freshwater river.
