The iconic Porsche from Steve McQueen's legendary film Le Mans is expected to race away at auction for £12million.
The stunning 917K was used as a test car for the 1970 24 Hours of Le Mans, which Porsche won, before gracing the silver screen a year later.
Following its brush with fame the famous motor was left to languish in a barn for 25 years before being rediscovered in 2001, when it underwent an extensive restoration.
The history-steeped car will be sold by a European collector through Gooding & Company auctioneer in Pebble Beach, California, on August 18.
