A poignant document listing the dead recovered from the Atlantic Ocean after the Titanic sank has emerged for sale for £18,000.
The steamer Mackay-Bennett found 306 bodies during a gruelling seven day search in the aftermath of the 1912 tragedy.
Of these, 116 were buried at sea and the remaining 190 brought back to Halifax in Canada, where they were laid out in a makeshift morgue as there were not the facilities to cope with the scale of the disaster.
