The new Bishop of Salisbury has today been unveiled after getting the Queen's seal of approval.
The Very Reverend Stephen Lake, Dean of Gloucester, will become the 79th Bishop of Salisbury, Downing Street has confirmed.
The 58 year old will replace the Right Reverend Nicholas Holtam, 67, who retired last July after holding the position for 10 years.
Revd Lake, who grew up in Poole, Dorset, was ordained as a priest in 1989, and has been Dean of Gloucester since 2011.
