PICTURED: Volunteer Penri Jones sorts through the stunning array of 1950's shop fronts that are set for a winter clean up. Wimborne Model Town is a 1/10th scale of the centre of Wimborne as it was in the 1950s.
A popular model village is being given an extensive winter clean in a bid to spruce it up ready for summer trade.
The Wimborne Model Town in Dorset is currently undergoing extensive work ready for tourists to return next year.
The scaled down buildings have all had their windows removed and will be painted in the coming months.
The work is carried out by a team of volunteers, who often find themselves in uncompromising positions to reach the various nooks and crannies.
While cleaning, the team have been known to fully squeeze into the models in order to do a full and proper job.
The village is set to reopen in March 2020.
