An archive of film scripts and candid photos featuring Sean Connery, Roger Moore and Michael Caine amassed by a British movie director has sold for a total of £61,000.<br />

The pictures offer a behind the scenes glimpse of British film classics including You Only Live Twice, Alfie, Educating Rita and Shirley Valentine.<br />

They are all part of the private archive of the late film director Lewis Gilbert, whose impressive career spanned six decades.<br />
<br />
Gilbert made more than 40 movies, but he was best known for directing three Bond films - You Only Live Twice (1967), The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) and Moonraker (1979) - and launching Michael Caine's international career with Alfie (1966). Michael Caine's international career with Alfie (1966).
