Finishing touches to the 'Nine Ladies Dancing' set.

House of Card - Artist Denise Watson has rendered the Twelve days of Xmas in life size paper figures at the National Trust's Uppark House in West Sussex.

Denise Watson has dressed twelve plain shop mannequins in clothes, shoes, hair and jewellery made from newspaper, card and paper tablecloths - even the drummers' drums are made from paper.

She started creating her characters for a colourful display at Uppark country house, near Petersfield, Hants, back in August and the figures have now gone on display.

Denise, of Delicarta, also created Victorian-style 2D puppets entirely from paper to make the lords a-leaping over barrels in the grand house's beer cellar.

Everything on the mannequins is painstakingly crafted from paper, including the intricate feathers and ribbons in the hair of the ladies' dancing and the soldiers' epaulettes and hat tassels.
