An incredibly rare poster advertising the return voyage of the Titanic has come to light.
The poignant poster promoted the New York to Southampton trip that never happened.
The red, white and blue adverts, that heralded the 'Queen of the Ocean's first sailing', were put up all over lower Manhattan in the spring of 1912.
But they were ripped down and destroyed by White Star Line in the wake of the tragedy in which 1,522 people died after the Titanic hit an iceberg.
