A rare Star Wars comic signed by six stars of the first film has emerged for sale for £11,000. ($15,000)

The first issue of the 1977 comic has been autographed by Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels and Kenny Baker.

It was produced by Marvel on the back of the huge success of Star Wars and carries an image of Luke Skywalker wielding a lightsabre.

The signatures were acquired by a private collector many years ago who is now selling the comic with US-based auctioneers Nate D Sanders.
