Britain's barmy beach hut bonanza continued apace today after it emerged that eight wooden cabins on a remote sandbank were on the market for a combined £1.6 million.<br />

The 15ft by 10ft timber chalets that have no running water, toilet facilities or mains electricity yet are worth the equivalent of between £1,011 to £1,777 per square foot.<br />

The eight huts that are situated on Mudeford sandbank in Christchurch, Dorset,range in price for £240,000 to £185,000.
