Bodycoach superstar Joe Wicks had 'his life saved' by an environmental campaigner after his jet board broke down and he became stranded on rocks at a beauty spot.

The Youtube sensation got into difficulties while visiting idyllic Lulworth in Dorset with his wife, Rosie, to celebrate his 36th birthday.

The pair went out to sea on their boards but Joe's board's engine flooded, forcing him to scramble onto nearby rocks.

He frantically waved to a passing boat for help and was spotted by Oly Rush on his vessel Sea Rex, who was cleaning the coastline with his team.

Wicks swam out to Oly's boat and was taken to safety following the dramatic incident on the Jurassic Coast.
