An RAF veteran who flew the last Lancaster bomber home on the final sortie of the war has finally received his Bomber Command clasp 75 years later.
Former Squadron Leader Ken Symonds, 97, limped his aircraft back to Britain following the last big raid of Bomber Command's Europe offensive.
The sortie took place over Berchestgaden, the town in the Bavarian Alps where Adolf Hitler had his Eagles Nest retreat, on April 25, 1945 - five day's before the evil dictator's suicide.
The Lancaster was struck by anti-aircraft fire which resulted in one of its four engines to be knocked out.
