One of the last surviving female pilots who risked her life delivering fighter planes for the RAF in World War Two has died aged 103.

Jaye Edwards joined a little-known unit of women who flew for the Air Transport Auxiliary (ATA), a civilian organisation that helped the Allied war effort.

She was only 21 when she started transporting aircraft from the factories to RAF bases across Britain where they were needed to fight the Luftwaffe.
