The medals of a Dunkirk hero who evacuated hundreds of soldiers against the odds can be revealed are being sold by his son 81 years on for £7,000.
Group Captain Leslie Flower was in charge of a Seaplane Tender (ship) 276 which was sent to the beaches of Northern France in May 1940.
It was repeatedly bombed and machine-gunned by enemy aircraft as it crossed the Channel, and the other vessel dispatched with it was sunk.
