This is the dramatic moment a catamaran was engulfed by flames at a marina, sending a plume of acrid smoke into the sky that could be seen for miles.<br />

A quick-thinking bystander released the 33ft boat from its mooring at Parkstone Yacht Club in Poole, Dorset, so it drifted away from other boats, preventing the fire spreading.<br />
<br />
The incident happened on Monday evening but thankfully no one was on board at the time.<br />
<br />
The catamaran drifted towards the breakwater and settled on the mud where it was left to burn out.
