A piano tuner to the stars has sold his remarkable collection of over 800 autographs for almost £27,000.<br />

Alex Brown worked for the BBC for over 40 years on shows including Parkinson and Later With Jools Holland before retiring in 2013.<br />

He tuned Elton John's piano the day before he performed Candle In The Wind at Princess Diana's funeral in 1997.<br />
<br />
Alex's role gave him incredible access to a who's who of musicians, actors, sportsmen, politicians and other famous figures.
