A vintage motorcycle has emerged for sale for £20,000 despite the fact it's currently caked in rust and has not been ridden in over 40 years.
The 1921 Indian Powerplus was bought by its current owner, a farmer and motorcycle enthusiast, as a project in 1975 but has not been ridden since.
Instead it has lingered for several years in a West Country barn getting rustier and less usable.
He did start to restore the motorcycle once but gave up after he replaced a rusty front wheel deciding that it was such an original state that preservation was better than restoration, and pushed it back into his barn.
It is now to sell with Charterhouse Auctions of Sherborne, Dorset, who have given the bike a pre-sale estimate of between £10,000 and £20,000.
